Aerodyne Research, Inc. (ARI), a small R&D company, has been providing research and development services and advanced instrument and software products to industrial, academic, and government customers addressing national and international environmental, energy, and defense challenges for 47 years.
We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our Center for Aerosol and Cloud Chemistry (CACC). This position is located in Billerica, MA. The position will focus on the development, characterization, and field testing of a simple, inexpensive, and robust calibration system for calibration of aerosol instrumentation such as Aerodyne’s Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitors (ACSM) and Aerosol Mass Spectrometers (AMS).
The ideal candidate will be a have received a PhD in chemistry, atmospheric sciences, or a related field within the past 2 years and will have significant experience with Aerosol Mass Spectrometry using Aerodyne instruments.
- ACSM and/or AMS instrument operation
- Hardware development and troubleshooting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Software development in .NET Environment
- Electronics development and troubleshooting
