The Aerodyne Aerosol Mass Spectrometer (AMS) is cited in Department of the Navy SBIR/STTR Success stories by the Office of Naval Research. The AMS was successfully deployed on a Twin Otter research aircraft for the Naval Post Graduate School in conjunction with the California Institute of Technology during the Marine Aerosol Stratus Experiment.

Dr. Douglas Worsnop accepts the Aerodyne Research Inc. Department of Energy Firm of the Year Award for our contributions to the Office of Science Atmospheric Science Program (ASP) in the Office of Biological and Environmental Research.

Dr. Richard Miake-Lye accepts the 2007 EPA Climate Protection Award for work with the Joint Strike Fighter Emission Test Team. The team developed a test that allows scientists to gauge the contribution of jet aircraft particulate emissions to global climate change.

AGU has a diverse program for recognizing members and others who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the geophysical sciences, to the service of the community, and to the public’s understanding.
