Congratulations to John T. Jayne et al. for winning the 2020 @ASTJournal Outstanding Publication Award for one of the most cited article in AS&T history, which continues to influence a broad range of science and engineering fields.

To quote Dr. Jayne: “Aerodyne started developing the AMS in 1996 and we have had many collaborators over the years. One of our very important early collaborations was with John Seinfeld and Rick Flagan at Caltech, developing the 1st aircraft AMS for the Navy’s Twin Otter research aircraft.

“Over the past 20 years, Aerodyne has developed a highly capable and loyal community of researchers using this instrument to help advance our understanding of atmospheric aerosol chemistry.

“In my opinion, it is really the entire AMS User community that is also being recognized with this award, since it is they who have made this paper one of the most highly cited papers in AS&T.”
